Ensure Your Doorbell's Firmware is Up to Date
In order to add your doorbell to an NVR, your doorbell must be upgraded to the most recent firmware build. To upgrade your firmware, click here to read our guide, "How to Upgrade Your NSC-DB2 Video Doorbell's Firmware."
Find Your Doorbell's IP Address
If you upgraded your doorbell's firmware, you needed the IP address in order to add the device to the Batch Configuration tool. If you didn't need to upgrade your firmware, click here to read our guide, "How do I Find the IP Address of my NSC-DB2 Video Doorbell?"
Log into your NVR on the CamViewer application.
Log into your R-Series NVR's computer interface using the CamViewer computer program. Navigate to the "Remote Settings" tab. Click "Channel" under the "Channel" menu.
Click "Add" and Input Your Doorbell's Information

Congrats! You now have access to your NSC-DB2 video doorbell directly from your R-Series NVR!
Known Issues with compatibility between R-series and the NSC-DB2:
- Audio is not passed through the R-series recorder
- When viewing the R-series CamViewer or Web Interface while also simultaneously viewing the doorbell's smart app (Guarding Vision, EZviz, HikConnect) it will display like the following on the screen on both live view and playback. However, on the attached HDMI monitor the dispay should work fine.
