Upgrading the Firmware can provide Security and Performance improvements.
As well as adding Features.

Step 1. Finding The Camera Model Number and Firmware Version & Build Date

First, we will need to know the model and firmware version of the camera. You can do this in a couple of ways.

In this Example, We are using the NSC-214G-DM.

Please Note

on H-series Products, you may come across the OEM Model number. If this is the case, please lookup either your order number or feel free to reach out to us.

Step 2. Checking For Newer Firmware

Go to NellysSecurity.com

Go to the product page of your camera and scroll down until you see "Downloads". Then "Firmware".

It is recommended to "Step Up" the firmware on your camera.

For our NSC-214G-DM, it currently has firmware V5.5.61 / Build 180828.
The available firmwares are 5.5.82 - 03/18/2019 & 5.6.0 - 07/02/2019.

The Upgrade path would be 5.5.61 -> 5.5.82 -> 5.6.0

Step 3. Upgrade Using Batch Config Tool

After downloading the needed firmware. Locate the file(s) (this typically will be in the default download folder, unless prompted for a download location, then choose Desktop) and extract it by right-clicking on the file and selecting extract all or unzip. When prompted for an extract location, choose Desktop to extract the final file to. A file labeled DIGICAP will appear on the desktop.

Next, Run the Batch Config Tool Program.

Add the Camera by selecting the Check mark box to the left of it and clicking "Add".

You will then be prompted to input the camera's password. Once typed in, click "OK".

Now that the camera is added, select the "Upgrade" icon to the far right of the added camera.

Upgrade Mode will be "File Upgrade". Click on the File Icon to search for the DIGICAP file.

Make sure "Reboot Device After Upgrading" is checked.
