This guide will take you through the steps to reset the password to your Guarding Vision account and regain access to your devices
There are two ways you can register an account: Using a phone number or using an email address.
For some this can be confusing especially since registration usually only happens during the first setup of the system. Often, over time, people will forget if they used their email address or phone number to register an account. If you can't remember which you used don't worry, we'll cover both methods in this guide.
Email Account Password Reset
1. Open the Guarding Vision app then click Login. Next click the Forgot Password link in the lower right. You should now be presented with an option to Reset by Username/Email Address or Reset by Phone number. Choose Reset by Username/Email Address.
2. On the next screen type in the email address you may have used to register. If you have multiple email addresses and don't know which one it could be input the one you most likely used then click Next. Now there are two things that could happen:
- It gives you a message that says "The username does not exist"
- It goes to the next screen and asks you to input a code that was emailed to you
If you get the message that the username/email does not exist you can try another email address or go back and try the "Reset by Phone Number" option.
If you get the message to Input the Security Code check your email and you should have a 4 digit code. Input that code into the app and click Next.
3. Lastly, create a new password for your account then click Finish in the upper right.
Phone Number Password Reset

If you get the message that the mobile phone number is not registered you can try another phone number or go back and try the "Reset by Username/Email Address" option.
