Step 1. Download and Open The Guarding Vision App
Step 2. Guarding Vision Setup
Upon first startup of the app, choose "USA" for region.
Now you should be at the home screen with two icons displayed "Login" and "Add".
Since we will be setting the camera up for remote access click the login button.
On the login screen click the Register link in the lower left under the password field. Now you'll be able to register two different ways; with a phone number or with an email address. In this guide we'll be registering by email. Next, click the Register by email link at the bottom of the page.
Type in your email address and click Get Security Code. After a short time (usually a few minutes maximum) you will get emailed a code. Type the code in the field and click Next. Lastly, type in a password for your Guarding Vision account then click Finish.
Note: The process to register an account using a phone number is essentially the same except you get a text with the code instead of an email.
Step 3. Adding an IP Camera
Click Add Device and the camera will come up, allow any permissions that are needed, then scan the QR code sticker on the camera. Note: The QR code sticker will only be located on the camera, not on the box.
If you don't have access to the sticker on the camera you can manually type in the serial number by clicking the pencil icon in the upper right. Then type in the 9 character serial number which can be found in a few areas such as the web interface, the box, and on the camera itself.
After it finds the camera click Next, choose your camera type from the list, then click the button confirming "Connected and Next". After a few seconds it will find the camera and prompt you for the verification code that you created when enabling the Guarding Vision service. After you type that in continue through the last prompt ultimately taking you to the home page.
Step 4. Viewing the Camera.
Click on the IP camera name and a preview will pop up in the lower right corner, click on the preview to view the camera live.
